Vonage has released a portable WiFi phone called the F1000. The phone will act much like a regular cell phone except it will only work on free 802.11b networks. The phone will include the existing Vonage call features such as three-way calling, caller ID and voicemail.
It will also have ring options including silent, vibrate, and selectable ring tones. Battery life is said to be about 5 hours of talk time and up to 100 hours of standby. The phone is available from Vonage for about $80 after rebate.
