Dubai police chief thinks BlackBerry is a spy tool

Dubai is the latest country threatening to shut down BlackBerry service unless they are allowed access to encrypted messages. Like India and Saudi Arabia, Dubai has given RIM a deadline before the country will ban the use of BlackBerry devices. RIM's stock falls the most as companies opt for other platforms

According to a Sanford C. Bernstein Ltd. survey, more companies are opting for rival platforms and RIM's stock is suffering. RIM's stock fell the most in six weeks of US trading. Sanford Bernstein analyst Pierre Ferragu said 200 companies in the US and UK were surveyed and 74% now allow their employees to use platforms other than BlackBerry.
