The BlackBerry Style 9670 clamshell flip-phone isn't out yet, but you can catch a glimpse of it in action. Three demo videos showing off the new device have hit YouTube. The videos show off the home screen, zooming functions, and external display.
The BlackBerry Style is a clamshell flip phone that will sport a full-QWERTY keyboard. This might be a great combination for those who don't want to carry a full BlackBerry Bold or Storm, but want the QWERTY keyboard.

It looks like William Shatner (aka Captain James T. Kirk) is a Palm Pre user. Why not right? The Pre does look like something that could have come out of Star Trek.
During a recent taping of a segment for The New York Times’ online Screen Test series, Mr. Shatner takes a call from his daughter Melanie on a Palm Pre. Check out this video where you can clearly see the Pre in the video, and can hear the default ringtone.

Dubai police chief thinks BlackBerry is a spy tool

Dubai is the latest country threatening to shut down BlackBerry service unless they are allowed access to encrypted messages. Like India and Saudi Arabia, Dubai has given RIM a deadline before the country will ban the use of BlackBerry devices. Apparently, the threat of ban is due to concerns over spying by the US and Israel.

RIM has finally put a name to the rumored upcoming 9670 clamshell phone. The new flip phone is now known as the BlackBerry Style 9670. I'm not sure that the name fits the device, but oh well. RIM is apparently doing everything they can to keep up with the Jones (Apple and Google) but they're not having much success in doing so. Will the BlackBerry Style keep them in the game?...read more

There has been a lot of buzz around about T-Mobile's first HSPA+ phone, the G2 (HTC Desire Z). Now we have some leaked pics that were apparently found on T-Mobile's servers. Several sites have been publishing these photos of the upcoming G2

Rogers gets BlackBerry Torch 9800 September 24

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is headed to Rogers on September 24. Rogers will offer the Torch for $199.99 both in stores and online, but like most Canadian carriers you'll have to sign a 3-year agreement to get that price. Lame-O!

Apple updates iPod Touch with Retina display and Facetime

This is not much of a surprise here, but Steve Jobs unveiled Apple's latest update to the iPod Touch today. The new Touch will get Apple's Retina display, and Facetime video calling. It will also get HD video recording, Apple’s A4 chip, 3-axis gyro, iOS 4.1 and Game Center.
The new Touch is the thinnest and lightest iPod touch ever. The new iPod touch features up to 40 hours of music playback and seven hours of video playback on a single battery charge.

Steve Jobs announced today that iOS 4.1 is on its way. The next update to iOS will fix a proximity sensor bug that has been plaguing iPhone 4 users since launch day.

RIM's stock falls the most as companies opt for other platforms

According to a Sanford C. Bernstein Ltd. survey, more companies are opting for rival platforms and RIM's stock is suffering. RIM's stock fell the most in six weeks of US trading.
Sanford Bernstein analyst Pierre Ferragu said 200 companies in the US and UK were surveyed and 74% now allow their employees to use platforms other than BlackBerry. In the US alone the figure was 83%.
"This phenomenon is very new and we expect it to put increased pressure on RIM’s performance," Ferragu wrote.

According to Mexican technology site canal-mx, Apple will be reengineering its iPhone 4 antenna design to deal with the antenna-gate issues. The new redesigned phones will be available after September 30.
We have no way of knowing if this is true or not, but it would be good news for customers who purchase an iPhone 4 after September 30. What about the existing iPhone 4 though? Can we swap out? Doubtful.

Photos of LG's E900 Windows Phone 7 device have leaked and Android.com.pl has the details. You can see the phone in action in the video above.
The E900 sports the same fast 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8650 processor as the Droid Incredible and HTC EVO 4G. It looks like an HTC phone with its sleek casing and usual detailing like a camera button and 3.5mm headphone jack. The 3.7" capacitive TFT LCD screen looks very nice, but not too big.
