WhatsApp ending support for BlackBerry
By: Tom Manning - March 02, 2016

WhatsApp will end support for BlackBerry 10 by the end of the year. The company says it will focus says its messenger service will not work on BlackBerry platforms by the end of this year. BlackBerry is not alone however. WhatsApp will also dump support for Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1 and 2.2, and Windows Phone 7.1.

The BlackBerry Priv runs on Android so WhatsApp should work fine on that device.

The end is near for BlackBerry. Although they still have some diehard fans, they will start to lose the support of developers and it will crumble. The company is pivoting to software to keep itself alive.
