Microsoft is currently rolling out an update to its budget Lumia 535. The new update fixes a known touchscreen sensitivity issue reported by many users since the phone's release. The update is both a Windows Phone 8.1 OS update and a firmware patch or the Lumia 535.
The update is rolling out to certain countries at this time. India, Taiwan, and the UK are on the current roll out, with other countries expected to get the update in the coming days. Hong Kong, the Philippines and Singapore are still running the older OS version 14226.
To check the update availability on your phone, go to Settings - Phone Update - Check for Update. If you don't see the update listed, check back in a couple of days.
