Microsoft Founder and Chairman, Bill Gates, gave an in-house interview recently where he talks Microsoft, Windows 8, and Surface. It is no surprise that Gates believes strongly in the Surface tablet and is encouraging everyone to get to a store to check it out. Gates says Microsoft is taking the touch interface to a new level with Surface while at the same time keeping the familiar keyboard and mouse input.
One thing is for sure, the Surface is not just an iPad clone. Microsoft is definitely feeling the pressure of the iPad, but they have brought some unique features to their tablet. It is a turning point of sorts for Microsoft as they try to bring one operating system experience across multiple devices. PCs, Phones, and tablets will all have a touch interface that is familiar to the user.
