McNamee talks Palm WebOS on Bloomberg

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - October 17, 2009

Anyone interested in smartphones should watch this video. Roger McNamee talks about why he along with Evolution Partners invested in Palm, and what their expectations are going ahead.

He has some interesting things to say about why Apple and RIM are successful, and why Palm will be a player going forward. He says integration between the hardware and OS will be key going forward, and Palm does that very well. He also makes a point that the smartphone market is very small at this stage. With all its success RIM has only 3% of total cellphone market share, and Apple has about 2%. He notes that Palm's marketshare is very small now, but it is growing.

We'll see if he is right. If he is he'll make a bundle. If he's wrong, so much for such a promising OS.
