Apple, Inc. has finally taken the wraps off their phone product. After years of rumors the iPhone is now a reality. Cingular has the contract so if you're looking to play with the new iPhone, you'll need to switch to Cingular.
As expected, the iPhone support the iTunes music service. It will come with 4 GB or 8 GB of storage space and will support both audio and video playback. It will have a touchscreen but will not include a stylus. The iPhone will be controlled with user's fingertips.
The iPhone is a Quad-band GSM/GPRS device that supports EDGE, but not UMTS/HSDPA (disappointing). It will include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and a 2 megapixel camera.
The iPhone is expected to debut this summer from Cingular for $499 or $599 depending on the storage size you choose. A 2 year contract will be required.
