According to this report a 10-year-old boy in Sherman Oaks, Calif., suffered first-degree burns on his leg and groin area when a cell phone exploded in his pocket. Nobody knows what caused the cell phone to explode. The cell phone had not been recalled and no other reports like this have surfaced. There has been no comment from Motorola, the company that makes the cell phone.
