Cingular Wireless will offer the BlackBerry 7100 smartphone from Research in Motion. Although each RIM 7100 series model looks slightly different, they are all the same inside. The Cingular BlackBerry 7100g can be purchased through Cingular's business channels immediately. It will be available through the Cingular web site after February 14 at a price of $250 with a two-year service contract.
The Blackberry 7100 series is the first line from RIM that does not include a full keyboard. Instead, the keyboard and numberpad have been merged. Each key handles two letters that work with the device's predictive text software.
The 7100 series are Quad-Band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM/GPRS devices and include Bluetooth.
Currently the BlackBerry 7100 series phones are available from T-Mobile, Vodafone, Cingular, and Rogers AT&T.
