The new SPV C500 smartphone, which will run the Second Edition of Microsoft's Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphone operating system, weighs only 3.5 ounces and measures 4.3 x 1.8 x 0.63 in.
The Bluetooth-enabled smartphones offers a 16-bit or 65,536 color and 220x176 pixel resolution display, and includes a 64MB of RAM and a miniSD Card slot. Bluetooth allows the device to be used with wireless headsets as well as other peripherals, such as Bluetooth printers.
Because it is a tri-band phone the SPV C500 should allow users to travel around the world and still have cell phone service.
Orange is planning to offer the SPV C500 sometime this summer across Europe. No pricing information is available at this time.
