The Voq is a smartphone that features both a phone keypad and flip-open QWERTY thumbpad. The QWERTY keyboard is handy when typing emails but it does result in the Voq being larger than other Smartphones.
The Voq will run on a 200 MHz Intel PXA262 XScale processor which is fine for most functions, but quite a bit slower than most of the newer PDAs these days. It will include 32 MB of RAM and have 48MB of Flash memory.
The Voq is a tri-band world phone, supporting global GSM voice networks and GPRS data networks. Users will be able to access email and the Web, make phone calls, play games, and run other types of applications.
Sierra Wireless plans to have the Voq on the market by the middle of next year. No pricing information is available at this time.
