The clamshell designed smartphone will run Palm OS 5.21 on a 200MHz Motorola MX1 ARM-based CPU. It will include 32MB of RAM, 32MB of ROM, and a Secure Digital expansion slot that is SDIO compatible for both memory and peripheral expansion.
It will have a screen and application buttons on one side, and a keypad and D-pad on the other. It uses a "twist and flip" configuration which means the screen can be rotated and closed down over the keypad, allowing the device to be used in the traditional tablet configuration, like a PDA.
An integrated digital camera lets users take VGA or 640x480 resolution pictures. The smartphone even has a flash.
There is no word on when the i505 might ship or how much it will cost.
