According to a Treo Central reader who was at the conference, the Treo 600 will include a small thumboard but not a jog wheel. Instead, it has a D-pad above the keyboard. It will also have an SDIO-compatible SD slot, and an integrated digital camera.
The flip cover has been apparently left off the new design. Instead, the unit is narrow and longer than previous Treo models.
The model demonstrated at the Sprint conference will run on Sprint's CDMA networks. Handspring has also announced plans to make handhelds for Orange SA, one of Europe's largest mobile phone companies, so a GSM/GPRS version of this model is also expected.
The Treo 600 is scheduled to be released by Sprint in October. Check out treocentral.com for more specifications on the new Treo 600.
