The BlackJack III could be in stores by October if you believe the latest rumor. BGR is reporting that AT&T Wireless will have the Samsung BlackJack III by October.
The BlackJack III will run Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional on a 528 Mhz processor. It will sport a very nice a 3 MP camera, and will include GPS, WiFi, and high speed HSDPA.

HTC has released a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM update for the Sprint version of the HTC Touch. The update is long overdue but better late than never. The most important reason to upgrade is to get the EVDO Rev. A functionality which provides faster downloads.
Other improvements include advanced GPS functionality (including the Sprint Navigation application), added Opera browser, a full Qwerty on-screen key Qwerty keyboard.

This news cannot be good for the smartphone market. Sony Ericsson's Q2 profits have fallen by a whopping 97%. The company knew their profits would fall in the second quarter but nobody predicted a 97% drop.

According to Aving, Samsung Electronics unveiled its 3G HSDPA smartphone BlackJack III (model: SCH-M480) in Korea. It will be available in the mid of July through SK Telecom for around 600,000 won.
The BlackJack III runs Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It includes WiFi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth. It has a 2.6-inch touchscreen display with 320x320 pixel resolution. It also includes a 2 megapixel camera and a finger mouse.

Samsung has announced the release of the Samsung Omnia in Italy on July 22. The Samsung Omnia is a Windows Mobile phone clearly designed to compete with the iPhone.
The Omnia runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro with Samsung's new TouchWiz user interface, which is designed to make the device easier to use with a fingertip.
The Omnia has a 3.2-inch WQVGA (240 by 400 pixel) touchscreen, and sports a 5-megapixel camera.

Nokia has launched an IM application that allows your friends to see where you are. Currently in beta, Nokia's Chat application integrates with your contacts and allows friends to see others locations.
In addition to letting friends see your location, Chat allows you to mark certain landmarks which will automatically broadcast messages to your friends when you reach that location. You could set the application to notify your friend when you're 1 mile away from his house for example.
